Established in 1997 in Athens, by friends Anastasia Aronia and Nancy Lazarou, Idiston commenced operations from a small kitchen facility. Its objective was to revive recipes, flavours and techniques from the past. In particular, Idiston is known for its delicious spoon sweets (fruit preserves), which are traditionally served aa a gesture of hospitality in Greece.

Idiston spoon sweets are distinguished for their superior quality as they are handmade and have no artificial ingredients, colourants and glucose syrup. Each fruit variety is sourced from small farmers in specific regions across Greece which are best known for growing these fruits. Only 100% Greek fresh fruit and vegetables are used.

This same food philosophy has paved the way for Idiston to extend to progressively extending its offering. Nowadays, Idiston provides a range of other products, including concentrated fruit juices, chutneys, jams and sauces & spreads.
